Miguel Ontiveros-Murrillo, also known as Luis Alberto Erenas-Luna, had been found guilty of conspiracy to distribute at least 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in Nebraska between April 1, 2002, and July 22, 2003, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for Nebraska.
Testimony at trial showed that Ontiveros-Murrillo transported multiple pounds of meth from Arizona to Nebraska and distributed the drug to dealers in Grand Island, Lincoln and Bellevue, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Judge Lyle E. Strom also sentenced Ontiveros-Murrillo to a five-year term of supervised release.
Ontiveros-Murrillo will be deported when his sentence is completed
