Lora Cole was charged yesterday with drug trafficking, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, and possession with intent to transfer. British national who was allegedly caught with cocaine on the weekend has been charged. She is due to make an appearance in the All Saints Magistrate’s Court today.On Sunday 9 March, the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) and members of the Royal Police Force Antigua and Barbuda (RPFAB) conducted an Operation at the V.C Bird International Airport.The joint operation resulted in the seizure of 1 kilo of cocaine, approximately 2.2 pounds with an estimated street value of $35,319. According to information received, the 33-year-old woman arrived from Dominica on a LIAT flight and was scheduled to depart to the UK on a British Airways flight. Law enforcement officials became suspicious of the woman and she was taken to a room at the customs office, where she and her luggage were searched. The cocaine was found in several packages strapped to her abdomen (belly area).
