Helsinki brothers smuggled some 3,000 kilograms of hashish and 20 kilograms of cocaine


Helsinki District Court is expected to hand down a decision Wednesday in one of the country's biggest drug cases.Preliminary investigations by police indicate that a gang led by Helsinki brothers smuggled some 3,000 kilograms of hashish and 20 kilograms of cocaine into the country between 2002 and 2006. Twenty-five gang members are being tried for aggravated drug crimes and money laundering.The men were caught after investigators found a stash of drugs in the capital region. During the investigation, police confiscated about 600,000 euros in cash, 36 kilograms of hashish and two kilograms of cocaine.
