Troy Olaf Kierce, 42, was arrested Thursday evening after police say he was observed conducting drug deals at various locations around Kelowna, including local community recreation areas and parks.
"Kierce was found in possession of approximately 1/2 ounce of heroin and a quantity of cash," says Corporal Carey Chernoff.
"A search warrant was later executed at his home in the 500 block of Arborview Drive in the Upper Mission area, where police seized another six ounces of heroin, several thousand dollars cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia."
Chernoff says the amount of drugs seized had the potential to provide over 1600 doses of the drug.
"The base operation for the activities of Mr. Kierce was his residence in an upscale neighbourhood. In light of this, Kelowna RCMP are reminding the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity they might observe, regardless of the geographic location within the city."
