Drug Squad has arrested two men following a cocaine haul in Mellieħa yesterday afternoon.
The police said they were observing an apartment from which they saw a man leaving. On being stopped by the police, the man was seen throwing away a packet which contained cocaine.The 30-year-old man from Naxxar had €7,700 cash in his possession as well as many clandestine lotto papers.The apartment was later searched in the presence of its owner, a 39-year-old man from Ħamrun. More than 100 grammes of cocaine in eight capsules and a half were found together with more cash and weighing scales.The two men are expected to be arraigned in the coming days.
