Kirk Anderson admitted that he conspired with others to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine

Kirk Anderson admitted that he conspired with others to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine in Dubuque with some of the drug being distributed near Jefferson Junior High School. Anderson entered his plea in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday. Officials with the U.S. attorney's office say Anderson was previously convicted in 1997 on federal crack cocaine conspiracy charges. Officials say Anderson faces between 20 years and life in prison. A date for sentencing hasn't been scheduled.
