John Rouse a father-of-five, had past convictions for drug dealing murdered
John Rouse, 45, was found dead by his mother at his home in Westerdale Grove on Thursday. Humberside Police said Mr Rouse, a father-of-five, had past convictions for drug dealing and that that was one line of inquiry they were following. The gun used to kill him has not been found and officers were searching waste ground behind the property on Saturday. No arrests have been made. Det Supt Ray Higgins, fromHumberside Police, said: "John Rouse was a father of five children aged between three and 25 years and all his children are now left without a father.
"This was a horrific offence, compounded by the fact that this poor man was found by his mother." Mr Higgins said he was convinced that someone would have information about the killing, and urged them to come forward. He said: "Please don't stand behind false loyalties to people such as this because this was a horrific, callous, pointless and needless attack on a man who was clearly, at that time, in no position to defend himself.
