Jose Aguirre, 31, of Hartford, had been involved in the disturbance; however the weapons violation proved false.
Police said they located Aguirre at a Windsor Locks convenience store at 3:24 a.m. and found him in possession of 37.9 grams of heroin packaged for sale in 90 individual packets.
Aguirre was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance, and sale within 1,500 feet of a school. The arrest occurred nearby to a Spring Street nursery school.
Aguirre was released after posting a $50,000 surety bond and is due in Enfield Superior Court on Feb. 19.
