McDonald’s restaurant used by two New Philadelphia men attempting to shoot heroin.

Police kicked open a bathroom door at the downtown McDonald’s restaurant Friday night and found two New Philadelphia men attempting to shoot heroin.Canton police reports said one of the men quickly flushed his syringe and spoon down the toilet.
Cole A. Hurst, 21, of 610 Ashwood Lane NW, and William E. Stevens, 34, of 157 Beaver Ave. NE, were arrested on charges of felony aggravated drug possession and possession of drug abuse instruments, Stark County Jail records said. Hurst was additionally charged with felony evidence tampering.Police caught the men “in the act of attempting to shoot heroin” at the fast-food restaurant at 319 Tuscarawas St. E about 6:45 p.m. Friday, jail records said.
