Ulysses Jones, 45, will appear in court in January, according to a release from Sheriff Chuck Arnold.
Jones, of 422 South Hall St. in Kenton, was arrested last Friday. Jones has been charged with unlawful possession of a Schedule II drug with intent to deliver, attempted introduction of a contraband into a penal facility and driving on a revoked or suspended license, the release said.
Jones is presently being held in the Crockett County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He has a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. Jan. 15 in Gibson County General Sessions Court in Trenton, the release said.
Jones has worked as a correctional officer for Gibson County since September 2006, the release said.
