Steven Hawk

Steven Hawk convicted of cocaine distribution and conspiracy charges in connection with a series of drug sales made between March and May 2006 to undercover officers.
Hawk, 29, of Wildwood, was found guilty of 12 of 13 counts including one second-degree drug-distribution charge, seven third-degree drug-distribution charges and four counts of conspiracy, all third-degree crimes. He was acquitted of the final count, which charged him with being the leader of a narcotics network.
Senior Assistant Prosecutor Jim Herlihy said Hawk sold cocaine to members of the county's narcotics task force in both Middle and Lower townships.
He left the area and was extradited from Wilmington, N.C., before standing trial this week.
Hawk faces extended term sentencing because of his prior drug convictions and could be sentenced to as many as 20 years in prison.
Hawk will be sentenced March 28
