A Nepali national allegedly running an international syndicate in the smuggling of hashish has been arrested by the Delhi zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau.
The agency has seized a consignment of wooden artefacts with over 11 kg of hashish concealed in them.
While investigating the chain through which hashish consignments originating from Nepal are smuggled into European countries and the United States through India, the
Narcotics Control Bureau zeroed in on some parcels of wooden artefacts (replicas of Asoka pillars) being couriered to Moscow.
